Day 32

Wednesday!

Another late start today because our programme with St Winifred's has ended.

This meant our first session was at Daryll Jordan. We got there at 11:15, about 15/20 minutes early however there was no sight of anyone! Not one student! We thought the fact of us being early was a factor so we waited till 11:45, a time where the kids would definitely be getting changed for our session.. Considering we start at 11:30! One kid turned up at about 12 and getting changed and then 2 more at 12:05 . We waited till 12:15, 45 minutes after our session was meant to start but decided to cancel it as there was only 3 people there. Annoying!

Our next session was at the Lodge, our furthest journey on our programme I think! The journey there never has a dull moment! Whether it be skidding round a corner, taking several wrong turns or even just getting completely lost. This time though it was a problem to do with the amount of gas we had. We DESPERATELY needed some but we was literally in the deserted countryside covered with masses of sugar cane farms! We asked several people where the nearest gas station was... to no avail. Bajans are not the best at giving instructions from what we've learnt! One guy looked at our gas dial on our cars dashboard and simply chuckled at our near impossible mission! Believe it or not though.. We found a gas station! I'm pretty sure we were in our reserve tank, Shaz and I both could definitely smell something dodgy! Running on fumes as they say!

We got the lodge as early as possible, just like they requested last  week and waited until 2:30 hoping more participants would turn up! We only had 7. A workable number just about but we still went ahead with our planned session!

To end the day, we had our college course from 4-8. After covering warm ups last week, we educated our group with a handful of passing exercises they could do. This week went great again but sometimes the enthusiasm to take part lacks which is a shame but they all listen and take it in which is the main thing!!

A frustrating day but ended well!
