Day 30

Day 30

Monday.

I'm sure, by now, you've realised what Monday morning means to myself and Shaz. If you're not familiar... It means the dreaded St George's!! A whacky double session with class of 40+ in each lesson! To be fair though, this week went okay! We did some fun races with both groups after a short warm up and then made use of the full 11 a side pitch we have to use!

Lester Vaughan was cancelled, which we knew in advance, because of exams so we headed back to our place to chill out until our next session which was at 3:00.

We headed down to Alleyne for our session, arriving at 2:45, only to be told that the session was cancelled due to exams also. I wish they told us before hand so that we didn't travel for nothing!

Ahh well, we were expecting cancellations due to the exam period so that was bound to happen at some stage!

We had a meeting scheduled for the evening at BCC (Barbados community college) because there is a new head for the coaching course we are doing. The last person who was meant to be the main guy to coordinate the programme, has been non existent so far so we have a new man called Mr Small. He basically called the meeting to understand the project a bit more and to get up to speed with what Shaz,Myself,Aran and Evan have done over the last week or so! He used a good analogy of:
"If I was ever to jump off a boat, I'd like to know where the life boats are. Rather than jumping off and having no idea of where they are" quite a funny analogy but I was glad we had met one of few bajans who see the need for communication, organisation and scheduling.

All the best

Luke
