Day 16
Monday
Nightmare of a start today! We were at St George's and yet again the kids were a big challenge! We tried to implement the most basic of sessions for them but yet they still couldn't do it. Shaz and I personally fill that they wouldn't care either way whether we were there or not, half don't join in and the ones that do, put minimal effort in. By the time they finally decided to come out and get changed.. We had 25 minutes with them. Shambles!!
We have two sessions with St George's one session from 9:10-10:30 and the second, with the 12-13 year olds at 10:40-11:30. Shaz and I both are glad that that's our first session on a Monday.. Because then it's out of the way! In all fairness the second session went well and were 10x better than the first bunch!
Anyway.. Enough negativity!!
Our next session was at Lester Vaughan which was a big improvement. The boys and girls are lovely there but the numbers aren't so generous, only 10! But never the less the session always goes well.
We finished the day with a drive to Alleyne school. This session went great and the turnout was brilliant.. About 24 kids! It poured down on the way there for a couple minutes and it made the roads so greasy and slippy. We went round one corner slowly but still managed to slide and drift round a corner and nearly crash. It was so scary! Shaz said my face was so funny, I was a right nervous Neville after that. I felt like a rally driver skidding round that corner, I had no control of my car. Somehow I managed to regain the steering just before hitting into the cliff/rock but boy was I scared! I genuinely wasn't going fast at all, so it was either the grease on the floor or a lack of grip on my tyres! Scary stuff!
Never a dull moment!
We have agreed to meet up with Evan and Aran tomorrow to watch bad neighbours at the cinema tomorrow! Can't wait
All the best
Luke
