Day 28
Saturday
We arrived at Alma Paris to attend our community session that we have every Saturday morning from 9-11. We only get on average around 6 kids which isn't great, so that really limits us to what we can do and without sounding rude it seems like a bit of a waste of our time. However, some kids travel from far so we always feel obliged to do a short session for an hour! This week we only got 5 kids, one of which was a 7 year old and another was just watching us train and we asked would he like to join in. I think we need to have a word with Axel to see whether the session is being publicised enough, considering it's a community session we should be getting quite a few, certainly more than 6!
We took the session from 9:30-10:30 and then headed home to make the most of our Saturday afternoon! We decided to go and get some lunch before we headed to the beach. We visited a restaraunt called "just grillin" (Crafty name, I know!).. It was very tasty and set us back about 7 pounds! After lunch we decided to go for a little walk about and checkout the local shops and malls in Holetown, we found a duty free shop which if you bring your passport, you can buy items.. Exactly like a duty free shop in an AirPort. The mall we had a walk about in was called Lime Grove, an upmarket, expensive mall with shops such as Louis Vuitton,Gucci,Prada and Ralph Lauren. To my surprise I spotted Patrick Vieira, one of the biggest legends ever to play for Arsenal! I was absolutely star struck and didn't have the balls to ask for a photo, but Shaz asked for one! Once she had her shot, I HAD TO ask for one! There was no way I was missing the chance to have a photo with Patrick Vieira! (Photo will be uploaded soon!)
After regaining composure after my photo, we visited our local beach called Mullins ,where we've made quite a few pals, and just chilled until 4 o clock so we could head home to watch the Columbia game. It wasn't one of our best beach visits, seeing as it was quite cloudy but it was nice way to relax!
Forgot to say, we have our car back! The brakes were replaced with a whole new set which is quite worrying but the van is no longer in our hands! I really liked it, despite the short period we had it for! We got our car back the day after it went into the garage which was quite a shock considering a day in Bajan time is stereotypically at least a few days!
All the best
Luke
